Paris Olympics 2024

9.8.24

Sydney McLaughlin (USA) set a world record in the 400 Meter Hurdles. This is what she had to say about it: “Records come and go, but the Glory of God is Eternal. I don’t deserve anything. But by grace through faith, Jesus has given me everything.” Sydney McLaughlin speaks regularly about her faith in God on social media and in interviews, saying that religion gives her the strength she needs to succeed. “For a long time, my identity was in track and field,” she told The Associated Press this summer. “But I realized that first and foremost, I’m a child of God. It set me free to run the race God has set out for me to run.”

Julien Alfred is the first Saint Lucian athlete to win an Olympic medal. Now her country has two medals(1 gold &1 silver), and she won them all. “I told God whenever I win I will give Him the glory. So I thank God for bringing me through, for giving me the strength to come so far, and Father I give you glory.” — Julien Alfred

Al-Aqsa Flood and the red heifer

Update about the rumors 2024: There is no ceremony on April 22nd, which is Passover Eve, when Jews will all concentrate on the Passover lamb, not on a burned red cow. There is no altar anywhere in Jerusalem. There is no prophecy of a red heifer whatsoever.

The “Al-Aqsa Flood” is what Hamas named the October 7th invasion and massacre. This is not a new thing. The attempt to create a pan Islamic unity in the fight to eliminate Israel is leading them always to talk about the Temple Mount. “Al-Aqsa is in danger” (Arabic: الأقصى في خطر) is a popular political slogan used to oppose efforts by Jewish hardliners to take over the Temple Mount. The annual “Al-Aqsa in Danger Festival” was in some years (1996-2015) the most-attended Islamic festival in Israel.

The rise in numbers of Jewish visitors to the Temple Mount to over 50,000 in the past couple of years made Islamic fanatics worry and get angry.

However, the red heifer wasn’t specified as the reason for the October attack when it was announced on that horrific Saturday morning. What has been mentioned was the constant “invasion” of Jews to the Al Aqsa holy site.

It wasn’t until 100 days into the war that Hamas spokesperson Abu Ubeidah mentioned the words “red cows” in his speech. Why? Continue reading Al-Aqsa Flood and the red heifer

Jewish conceptions about the Messiah

According to Judaism, the return of the people will be followed by deliverance from foreign rule. The exiles will return, harmony and peace will spread.

According to some prophets, there will be material abundance, the land will become fertile, the sick and disabled will recover and human life will be prolonged.

The aim is to bring people back to the lost paradise described in Isaiah 11:6-9, where the wolf, lamb, lion and other animals live peacefully with humans.

According to rabbinic understanding, the Messiah is not seen as the saviour of individual souls. In order for the Messiah’s kingdom of peace to come, people must strive for active retribution and return to religiosity.

Jesus, on the other hand, spoke of a change of heart and criticised the magical understanding of external rites. “It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the heart through the mouth; this defiles a person” (Matthew 15:11, 18).

SUPERNOVA Sukkot festival instead of freedom – death and hostage-taking

What was planned on 6 October as the joyful and largest electronic music festival of the Nova tribe, turned on 7 October into the scene of a tragedy, an inhuman war crime, an unprecedented violation of the most basic human values.

The festival proclaimed: “We will continue to fight until we reach the goal written on our banner: To spread the light in the world with the help of the holy people of Israel and the Nova Tribes“.   more information

The “Sipur” film studio has announced a documentary about the Israeli festival. Yariv Mozer, the director of the documentary, says: “Nothing prepared me for the horrific images. As a documentary filmmaker, I feel it is my duty to bring the testimonies and terrible stories of the survivors of this massacre to the world. Young men and women whose only sin was their passion for music – and their passion for celebrating free love, spirit and freedom. God sometimes takes unusual ways

When Israel leaves Egypt, God lets his people walk along the trade route towards modern-day Eilat. The goal was taking them to the mountain of God in Midian, as He promised Moses in Exodus 3:12: “When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

The area of Midian is today where the place Neom arises. Neom should also include the mountain of God (Jebel al Lawz) or reach to its edge.

Now there is an unexpected turn. God is leading them to an impasse on the left bank of the Gulf of Aqaba, to the Sinai in the Red Sea desert.

They stayed near Nuweiba. The Pharaoh thinks: They are lost. Therefore, I can bring them back. I deliver them from Moses who is leading them astray.

But behind all of it is God, who brings together piece of piece to show his glory. God has a clear purpose. We read in Exodus 14:4: “I will show my glory to Pharaoh and to all his army, and the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD.”

God sometimes takes unusual ways. Some we never understand, others we later understand what God intended. It’s the challenge of faith to endure.

Middle east

23.6.22 The remarks made by Israeli Defense Minister Gantz yesterday regarding Lebanon receive particularly widespread coverage in Arab and Lebanese media. Last night, the Israeli Defense Minister was quoted saying: “If necessary, we will march again to Beirut, Sidon, and Tyre…”

According to Arab and Western media: Colonel Vadim Zimin, the former officer in charge of Putin‘s “nuclear briefcase” was found injured his home. According to reports, he was found with a single shot to the head.

22.6.22 The International Atomic Energy Agency: “Iran has announced that it has begun enriching uranium to new levels.”

Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum responded to the expected dissolving of the Knesset: “The collapse of the Bennett government is a testament to the fragility and weakness of the Zionist entity and its internal structure. Yet another indication that our people’s steadfastness and the ability of the resistance to embarrass this government, eventually broke its willpower and prevented it from achieving its goals.”

Following the visit of the chairman of the Hamas Politburo to Lebanon, Reuters reports from its sources that Hamas decided to renew its ties with the Assad regime which were severed at the beginning of the Syrian civil war following Hamas’ support of the Syrian rebels.

Pressured by Iran, Hamas has long wanted to renew its relations with Assad, a member of the Shiite-axis, but so far it has been Assad who has turned a cold shoulder on Hamas ever since he expelled their senior officials from Syria about a decade ago.

Hamas’ return to Syrian territory could pose headache for Israel, serving Iran’s interest in the region well.

Lebanese Energy Minister Walid Fayad officially announced that Lebanon has signed an agreement with Egypt to import 650 million cubic meters of natural gas, expected to add about four hours of electricity a day for the people of Lebanon.

The United States has exempted this agreement from the American sanctions imposed on economic activity in Syria under the “Caesar Act”, allowing the transfer of Egyptian (Israeli) gas to Lebanon with the pipeline that runs from Egypt through Jordan and Syria.

Egypt has recently increased its gas purchase from Israel significantly. Egypt has not enough gas for themself.

Doubts about Muhammad’s night journey from Jerusalem

In a talk show on Egyptian television, Ibrahim Issa publicly described the night journey/ascension as a “completely delusional story”. He was heavily criticized for these statements by Islamic theologians in Egypt and also on social media and was then briefly arrested by state authorities.

Mohammed is said to have raced on a mythical creature, the winged white horse al-Buraq with a woman’s head, from Mecca to Jerusalem, from there to heaven and then back again.

The Ascension is not clearly mentioned in the Koran. It is also interesting that at the time of Mohammed there was only the ruins of St. Mary’s Church on the Temple Square.

According to MoroccoWorldNews, Saudi Oussama Yemani claims the real Al-Aqsa Mosque is in al Ji’ranah near Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

When people ignore God

The new king doesn’t know the story of Joseph. It has been 300 years since Joseph stood up for Egypt. We see: it is always dangerous if we ignore history and do not want to learn from it. This is why the Bible is good to read because it shows what happens when people ignore God.

The Israelites are not oppressed because they rebel, but because they are doing well and are blessed by God, as God has promised to Abraham (Gen. 12: 3), Isaac (Gen. 26: 4) and Jacob (Gen. 28:14).

If we feel threatened, then we have no appreciation or a good word for others. Instead of togetherness, there is an opposition. Continue reading When people ignore God

Rejoice daughter of Zion

“Sing aloud, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!” Zephaniah 3:14.

The prophet Zephaniah called on Jerusalem, like all Israel, to rejoice in the presence of the Lord: “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save” (Zephaniah 3:17). Salvation is in Hebrew: Yeschuah / Jesus is Yeschua and means saviour.

This almighty God has forgiven his people the guilt: “The Lord has taken away the judgments against you … The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst” (Zephaniah 3:15). “Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It read, “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews” (John 19:19).

The joy of this is shared. Not only of the people of Israel, but God himself shares the joy of his people: “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing” (Zephaniah 3:17). ” And you shall again obey the voice of the Lord… For the Lord will again take delight in prospering you, as he took delight in your fathers” (Deuteronomy 30: 8-9).

The promises of the First Testament are fulfilled in the coming of Jesus into this world.

Paul writes that the reason for joy is the closeness of God revealed in Jesus. ” Rejoice in the Lord always … The Lord is at hand” (Philippians 4: 4-5). The closeness of God in Jesus is the cause of hope and joy. And we always need it.

Desire for the temple

A member of the Knesset suggests that not only Jews should be able to freely visit the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and express their faith, but that the Third Temple should be built.

Nissim Vaturi visited the Temple Mount in December. Vaturi openly recited the traditional Jewish prayer. Vaturi is the second member of the Likud Knesset who not only enters the Temple Mount, but also calls for the construction of the third temple. In early December Likud MP Amit HaLevi was also on the Temple Mount.

More and more Muslim Arabs are demanding that Israel should remove control from the Palestinian Waqf.

Jerusalem’s Sheikh, Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, has banned UAE and Bahraini nationals entering via Israel to the Temple Mount.

The Saudi journalist Abdel Rahman Al-Lahim tweeted: “It is very important for the Emiratis and Bahrainis to discuss with Israel ways of liberating the Al-Aqsa Mosque from Palestinian thugs in order to protect visitors from Palestinian thuggery.

Rotenberg: “The time has come to replace the Supreme Muslim Council with an international council with representatives from Muslim nations that formally recognize Israel, as well as representatives from Israel, both Jewish and Muslim and the Palestinian Authority (if it is willing).”

Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Fleur Hassan-Nahum visited the UAE. He estimated that 100,000-250,000 Muslim tourists from the region will come to Jerusalem in the future. “Just as we developed Christian tourism, we plan to work to develop Muslim tourism.” more information
